Darius Lim, Associate
Darius graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southampton in 2016 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018.
Darius joined the firm in 2021 where he advises and represents clients in both the Supreme Court and State Courts in a variety of matters, including civil and commercial litigation, criminal litigation, matrimonial disputes, directors & shareholders’ disputes, probate and administration matters.
He has also advised and represented institutional creditors in winding-up and insolvency-related proceedings.
Some of Darius’ more recent notable experiences include:-
Acting in a stay of execution application of certain discovery orders made pending an originating application for permission to appeal, the latter under the Rules of Court 2021 (Devin Jethanand Bhojwani and ors v Jethanand Harkishindas Bhojwani (Shankar’s Emporium (Private) Limited and ors as the Non-parties) [2023] SGHC 128);
Acting for a major local cryptocurrency lending and borrowing platform in judicial management proceedings in the High Court;
Defending a criminal charge of remaining outside Singapore without a valid Exit Permit under the Enlistment Act 1970;
Providing advice in relation to matters pertaining to employment disciplinary inquiry / tribunal;
An application for the return of one’s travel document under section 113 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010; and
Representing and advising a director of a Singapore company for claims involving allegations of, inter alia, fraudulent trading, for an amount of approximately US$3.5 billion
Darius has also acted for accused persons under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS).
Outside of work, Darius also manages disputes on the field of play as a football referee.
Darius is fluent in English and Mandarin.
